How to Create Automated Emails in Salesforce

With Record-Triggered Flows

Hello Salesforce friends!

I hope your week has been full of productive solutions at work or at the very least, not too stressful. I just quickly want to share a solution to email automations that might be useful to you.

The Business Use Case

Let’s say that you get new requirements from the customer service team to help them stay on top of cases that have been escalated and that have potential liability if not resolved.

The Solution

Potential liability sounds bad so let’s help them avoid that by creating a Record-Triggered Flow that will fire and email the case owner when the status of a case has changed to “Escalated” and the Potential Liability field is set to true.

I think that a video makes for a better tutorial than my words do, so check out my YouTube video. (and subscribe too, thanks!)

Other Solutions?

Sending the email based on the changes of a picklist field isn’t the only way to make this work. It’s also possible to trigger the email send based on a checkbox.
